Amit Harchandani is an IBM Systems Architect in the Industrial Market with a wide range of technical skills across a variety of platforms with over 20 years of experience. He has a vast background in High Performance Computing and Enterprise IT Systems & Storage. He comes to IBM from General Electric leading as a HPC Operations Manager for GRC (Global Research Center). He is local to the Detroit area having worked mostly across the Automotive area with companies like Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor and prior to that with Electronic Data Systems @ General Motors. As a Systems Architect across this diverse community, he gets involved with a wide range of technical skills across a variety of platforms – everything under IBM’s Systems portfolio from things like AI, Storage, HPC, Power and Z. Amit’s interests include flying drones, boating, gardening/farming, tackling projects around the house like movie / theater builds, and of late has experience venturing into Crypto Mining mostly around ASIC’s.
